Pension Pohádka in Prague - accommodations in Malá Strana (Lesser Town) The pension offers luxurious accommodations and is wondrously located in a historic part of Prague directly below Prague Castle, just a few steps away from the most famous monuments of the city. All this is heightened by its homely atmosphere and a spirit of privacy, which stems from the small capacity of the pension’s five luxurious rooms. The exceptionality of the area of Malá Strana (Lesser Town) in which pension Pohádka lies, the quality of the accommodations and services, as well as the strategic location of the pension right in the centre of one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, makes pension Pohádka unique. Pension Pohádka on Valdštejnská Street was completely reconstructed and is another project of the 100% Czech company Pohádka s.r.o. (Ltd.). The pension opened in December 2007. Due to its style and location, pension Pohádka is the ideal place for the demanding lovers of Prague who stay for an extended period of time as well as for business people who only stay in the city for a short period. Last but not least, another advantage of staying at the pension is that public transport/taxis are only a very short distance away. POHÁDKA s.r.o. Malá Strana (Lesser Town) and the pension building itself are places rich in Prague’s history. President T. G. Masaryk played in the Wallenstein Stables, which are opposite the pension, as a child. Wallenstein himself cast the cannon balls for his artillery in the courtyard adjoining the pension. Important historic buildings, Church buildings, the Wallenstein and Paradise gardens, the seat of the Czech Republic parliament, foreign embassies, and many other sites, all of which are heightened by the dominant Prague Castle, ensure Malá Strana is the most visited part of Prague by tourists. The company was founded in 1993 in the spirit of endeavouring to build upon the history of traditional Czech puppetry and theatre. In 1995, the company expanded its operations to include working with Czech manufacturers of toys and artists engaged in creating things for children, and later with the manufacturers of historic chess sets, brain teasers, replicas of historic weapons, and hand-painted creations. The company’s objective is to continue propagating and disseminating Czech folk creations. Have a look at www.czechtoys.cz and lose yourself in our world of toys and art
